Canossian Daughters of Charity

July 26, 2024

On July 26, 2024, Sr. Virginia Sarcaoga, FdCC, celebrated her 25th Anniversary as a Canossian Sister. The Thanksgiving Mass, with the theme “Gratitude to God’s Love and Mercy,” was presided over by our very own Bishop of Malaybalay, His Excellency, Most Rev. Noel Pedregosa, DD, with several priests concelebrating. Fr. Virgilio Delfin, a co-member of Sr. Virgie in the religious organization Ang Buhing Pulong Community from their working days, served as the homilist.

Celebrating with Sr. Virgie were her family members and her religious family, the Canossian Sisters, from the communities of Malaybalay, Cagayan de Oro, and Talibon, Bohol, and from her own community, Don Carlos, along with the two Provincial Councilors. Also present to join her in her gratitude and joy were her friends, former colleagues, lay partners, neighbors, former youth leaders and formators, and mission partners from her current and previous communities.

Sr. Virgie’s life over the past 25 years is indeed a testament to God’s love and mercy, which has sustained her through all her ups and downs and the challenges she has faced in her mission to make Jesus known and loved. She is truly grateful for the God who called her to become a Canossian Religious and who has supported her in her life of consecration.

The celebration culminated with a hearty lunch enjoyed by all, filled with joy, stories, and laughter.

Congratulations, Sr. Virgie on your Silver Jubilee Celebration!

May our Mother at the Foot of the Cross, St. Magdalene of Canossa, our Mother Foundress, and universal sister St. Josephine Bakhita continue to intercede for your holy and joyful perseverance!

Special thanks to all those who have been part of making this joyous celebration possible. God reward your kindness!
