The Sisters of the Sacred Heart Province Philippines-PNG gathered virtually for the launching of its website on March 20 before the final session on the prophets bible study. Sr. Magdalena Larcia, Councilor in charge of communication welcomed the Sisters and highlighted the importance of our presence in the virtual world for union of hearts, for evangelization and promotion of our ministries to vocation prospects, benefactors and seekers with the same advocacies. Sr. Magnolia Nuncio, chairperson of the communication team together with Sr. Maricriz Manila, co-chairperson launched the website canossaphils.org. Sr. Magnolia introduced the website with a teaser and toured the home page with its menus and sub-menus together with the Sisters using their own smart phones. It features our Canossian identity, our ministries and communities, vocations, projects and campaign and how to donate. Sr. Maricriz introduced to the Sisters the special guest at the launching, Mr. Alex Romero. With his expertise as a retired IT professional and software developer formerly in Kuwait and presently in USA, he generously worked with the Sisters from domain acquisition, website design, lay out and uploads of all the menus and sub-menus. We are deeply grateful to him for his patience and availability during our meetings and we look forward for the team’s training in managing the website later.
The Sisters welcomed the website excitedly and gladly as they toured the menus and started promoting the website to their friends in the net. Sr. Magdalena appealed to the Sisters to be active users of the website’s embedded social media platforms like the Province facebook, youtube and Instagram and contribute to the news and updates from events in their respective communities.
