Today, on November 26th, we celebrate the solemnity of Christ the King, a special day that holds significant meaning for Sr. Lucia Maia of the San Pablo community. It is a day of joy as she renews her vows. The Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Fr. Mateo Suarez, Fdcc, took place in the Hiyas community in San Juan. Sr. Maria Louella Olarte, the formator for the Junior Sisters, facilitated Sr. Maia’s recollection in preparation for her renewal.
During the ceremony, Sr. Lilia Nuesca, Fdcc, the Provincial Leader, received Sr. Maia’s vows along with Sr. Magdalena Larcia and Sr. Charito Balancin. Sr. Maia, a Junior Sister from the East Timor Province, is currently studying Psychology at Canossa College in San Pablo City. It was heartwarming to see two other Timorense Junior Sisters from Paco attending the celebration, showing the unity and support within the Canossian community.
After the ceremony, a joyful fellowship took place at breakfast, where Sr. Maia had the opportunity to share this special moment with the Sisters of the San Juan and Hiyas communities. Congratulations, Sr. Maia! We join you in rejoicing for your precious gift of the Canossian vocation to the Institute.
